Object of the event:

To travel on track for the greatest length of time, as measured by a stopwatch.

Distance traveled is not a factor, only how long the clockwork engine chooses to continue to move, as measured in seconds.

Each participant can enter as many separate clockwork engines as desired.

Each entry can attempt up to three runs of the course.

Only the single best time for each entry will be used to determine the winner.

Only 0 gauge will compete against 0 gauge.

Any gauge-1 participants will compete against gauge-1 or, if no competitive entries, the participant can do up to three demonstration runs.

The number of seconds as measured by the judge is final.

Time of travel for each entry will be measured beginning from a designated point until the engine comes to a complete stop.
