Jasper contemplates
the cosmos

Jasper ponders the meaning of it all as the planets make their never-ending orbits around the sun.

Each planet has its own, independent orbit; 36 turns of the crank take them through a complete cycle and finally bring them into alignment. The drive belts are made of wooden beads and leather thongs. The screws that power the pin wheels are made of washers that have been split, spread, and mounted on shafts.
