Garden railroading

Garden railroading is the building of a model railroad in a garden, to create a natural, railway-like atmosphere. This is not a new pastime. Its origins, in Great Britain, go back over 125 years. Garden railroading suffered a decline worldwide after WWII. In the USA, it wasn't until the advent of LGB trains in the late 1960s, and Garden Railways magazine in 1984, that garden railroading experienced a resurgence of interest that led to the dynamic and vibrant hobby it is today.
